Holistic mental Health & Wellness PLLC was opened on July 11, 2022 by Melisa Arroyo. Due to her upbringing, values, experiences, and clinical background, Melisa found the need for people to be seen as more than a diagnosis. Melisa wanted to create a safe space for to help people who didn't want to rely or even take medications, for people who are going through rough patches , for brave Latinx people breaking generational issues, or for Christians of all backgrounds to speak about their faith while they work through ups and downs of life.

People are more than just mental health. People have needs that are interconnected with various areas of life.

Melisa wanted to create a loving space for people to heal, find harmony and hope. So she did it.

What is holistic mental health?

Holistic mental health can also be called integrative mental health, alternative mental health and has many other names. The aim is to see the person as a whole individual and unique person. Each person has a different life and needs. Of course the focal point of mental health counseling is on mental health, however there are so many other areas of life that impact mental health or can be impacted by mental health. More info...

About Logo

The moon is reflective, represents intuition, and goes through phases. The ocean is mysterious, healing, and everchanging. Both are powerful forces in nature much like my clients.

As a Christian, the moon reminds me of how I am to shine the grace of God onto the world much like the moon reflects the light of the Sun. The moving waters of the ocean remind me of the mystery and unpredictable movement of the Holy Spirit. Together the sea at night reminds me of one of my favorite passages where Jesus asks Simon Peter to trust him while he walks out onto the water. Much like Simon Peter, the winds of life can scare us or even distract us from our faith.
